Home again

I'm back from the wilds of Yorkshire - I don't realise how much I've been missing the hills and dales until I see them again.

I hope to catch up later today or tomorrow.

Hi Aliqot,

Thanks for the kind message you left on my blog. Despite worrying like a frencman in a guillotine, I am really looking forward to becoming a dad. I've even grown a beard to look more like one, lol.

I'm jealous of you living in the Yorkshire hills, I have the joys of v-neck jumper and volvo driver land. The very upper-middle class world of Surrey!

Cheers,
Rich (aka Rocket from the Dock)

Hi Rich, I don't live in Yorkshire - though I did live in Leeds for about 15 years. It's rolling Northamptonshire these days - still very pleasant.

I've more recently become better acquainted with the South - used to think it was somewhere annoying to travel through to reach Europe.
Reality stopped at the River Trent. Beyond lay wastelands, not even dragons. I hope I'm a bit more broad-minded now.

Hello Aliqot
Thanks for commenting on my blog! It's nice to meet you.
Yes, Brooklyn is quite large and I live on the south east end. We're about 10 minutes from the beaches. I'm very familiar with Green-Wood cemetery! My husband and I have been volunteers there for almost 6 years in a Civil War Vetern project. Look on the cemetery web site for more information about it.
